Apple is planning to introduce three unannounced features with iOS 27, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The features include a new watch face, a customizable Camera app, and functionality for third-party chatbots within Siri.
Some of these features are confirmed to be part of the developer beta for iOS 27. Gurman stated that a new watch face is expected to coincide with a refresh of Apple smartwatches anticipated this fall.
The new watch face could be a simplified version of the Modular Ultra option currently exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra. Gurman also noted that the updated Camera app is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro in the fall, although it is not available in the current developer beta.
The customizable Camera app may allow users to select which functions appear and their positioning within the app. Additionally, Apple is working on enabling third-party chatbot integration within Siri, permitting users to switch from Apple’s default intelligence to other options.
As of now, the iOS 27 developer beta permits switching between Siri and ChatGPT. Gurman indicated that future updates will expand the list of supported chatbot options.
