DeepSeek has permanently reduced the price of its flagship V4 model by 75 percent, positioning itself as a cost-effective option in the AI market. The updated pricing for the DeepSeek V4 Pro now ranges from $0.003625 to $0.87 per one million tokens, significantly lower than the previous range of $0.0145 to $3.48 per million tokens.
This price cut makes permanent a promotion that was originally set to expire on May 31, 2026. The adjustment follows the launch of DeepSeek’s V4 models, Pro and Flash, designed to usher in an era of cost-effective AI with a 1M context length.
DeepSeek’s new pricing structure is likely to benefit enterprise accounts and power users who require high token consumption. The reduced prices also present a more affordable alternative to established models like OpenAI’s GPT-5 and Google’s Gemini 3.5 Flash.
Industry observers note that this aggressive pricing strategy could provoke responses from competitors such as Anthropic, which has previously criticized DeepSeek over alleged “distillation attacks.” DeepSeek’s move reflects a broader trend of competitive pricing in the rapidly evolving AI sector.
