Lovable launched its mobile app on Monday, enabling users to build web apps and websites using text or voice prompts. The app is free to download on both the Play Store and the App Store, extending its AI-powered vibe coding capabilities to smartphones.

The app allows for project generation on the go, although it does not replicate the full functionality of the website. Users can prompt ideas, preview results, and iterate while switching seamlessly between the mobile app and the web platform.

Speaking on the launch, Lovable stated the app enables users to start projects from anywhere, which is beneficial for frequent travelers or those who prefer smartphones over laptops. The startup seeks to expand its user base after securing $330 million in Series B funding last year.

The app allows users to initiate projects through natural language or voice prompts and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Users can close the app after inputting a prompt, with operations continuing in the background. Notifications will alert users when project completions are ready for review.

On iOS, however, users cannot host AI-generated apps directly; they can only be previewed in a web browser. The mobile app also establishes a connected ecosystem with the website, ensuring project files and data remain intact across platforms.

Lovable emphasizes its mobile app serves as an extension of the web platform, rather than a complete replacement. This strategic move aims to enhance accessibility and user engagement in a competitive market.
