Poe, Quora’s AI aggregation app, introduced group chat functionality Monday, allowing collaboration among up to 200 users across more than 200 AI models.

The new feature facilitates group conversations incorporating various AI tools, including text, image, video, and audio generators. This development follows OpenAI’s ChatGPT piloting group chats in select markets. Quora highlights the potential for new interactive experiences, such as families planning trips using Gemini 2.5 and o3 Deep Research, or teams brainstorming mood board images with Poe’s diverse image models. Groups can also engage in trivia games via the app’s quiz bots.

Users can utilize any combination of AI models or creator-made bots within these group chats. Supported models include Claude 4.5 Sonnet, ElevenLabs v3, ElevenLabs Music, Nano Banana, GPT-5.1, Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro, o3 Deep Research, Sora 2 Pro, and Veo 3.1. Group chats are initiated from the poe.com home screen, with chat history synchronizing across devices in real time.

Quora developed this feature over the past six months. The company intends to enhance group chat capabilities based on user feedback. Quora noted in its announcement, “We think the space of potential group interactions mediated by AI and collaboration opportunities with AI is vast and currently under-explored.” The update also allows users to create custom bots on Poe and share them for use in groups.
