HyperOS 3.0 introduces a new camera motion watermark effect for select Xiaomi devices, enhancing image presentation with dynamic details.

Bao Li, Xiaomi Camera Product Manager, confirmed the rollout of this new feature for Xiaomi models, enabling users to display a motion watermark alongside image details. This offers a more personalized camera experience, allowing the inclusion of additional data such as latitude, longitude, lens, and time of capture.

The feature supports overlaying animated visual effects on images and video clips, merging two media types with metadata. Users retain the distinct identity of the original images or videos. Camera data can be removed manually or via an auto-prompt from the app for reinstallation of the watermark label.
