UpSmith, a technology company backed by a16z, launched JennyAI on March 25, 2025. This new generative AI and performance marketing product aims to improve how tradespeople in the $500 billion U.S. home services market generate and convert leads.
JennyAI integrates with ServiceTitan, a field service management platform, allowing it to identify high-quality replacement opportunities from a company’s existing customer base. The AI then crafts personalized outreach messages and schedules appointments directly, streamlining the process.
Wyatt Smith, founder and CEO of UpSmith, stated, “We believe every skilled trades company can be a data company and the acceleration of foundational AI models in the last 12 months offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to level up the businesses that keep America running.” He added that JennyAI helps give trades businesses technical advantages.

Chris Harrison, GM of Roland Black Heating & Cooling, said, “We spun up JennyAI in a matter of hours to leverage that data for the first time, automating personalized outbound messages to customers and truly generating opportunities out of thin air.”
Built using the latest large language models, JennyAI engages with customers, gathers insights, and books appointments within minutes. Unlike traditional lead generation tools, it is designed to adapt to the complexities of skilled trades businesses.
JennyAI is currently available to a select group of UpSmith’s customers. A wider rollout is planned for the coming weeks.
Based in Dallas, TX, UpSmith develops software that integrates with field service management tools. The company’s goal is to use AI-driven solutions to help businesses capture leads, improve workforce engagement, and create new revenue opportunities.
