Procurement intelligence provider Beroe has integrated its AI-powered assistant, Abi, with the Microsoft Copilot Store. This integration makes Beroe the first procurement intelligence provider to deliver insights directly within Microsoft 365 applications, including chats, emails, and documents.

The move builds upon Abi’s existing integration with Microsoft Teams, which already serves over 50,000 enterprise users. By embedding Abi within Copilot, Beroe aims to streamline procurement workflows by providing access to market intelligence without requiring users to switch between platforms.

Addressing data silos in procurement

A key challenge in procurement is the fragmentation of data across different systems, hindering efficient decision-making. The Abi Agent for Microsoft Copilot aims to solve this by combining an organization’s internal procurement data (contracts, supplier negotiations, etc.) with Beroe’s external market intelligence. This combined data is provided on-demand within the Microsoft 365 environment.

“As AI transforms the way businesses operate, procurement leaders need intelligent solutions that deliver insights exactly where and when they’re required – without switching platforms or piecing together scattered data,” said Prerna Dhawan, Chief Product Officer at Beroe.

The integration offers several key capabilities:

  • Procurement professionals can access Beroe’s market intelligence directly within Microsoft Copilot.
  • The integration provides contextual responses by combining internal procurement data with Beroe’s external market intelligence.
  • The integration is designed to leverage future enhancements to Microsoft Copilot’s data integration capabilities.
  • Abi allows procurement teams to maintain oversight of AI.

Dhawan added, “And as AI evolves, this Microsoft Copilot-Abi combination has the potential to go even further – connecting procurement history with real-time market dynamics to offer deeper, more contextual recommendations.”

Beroe’s integration with Microsoft Copilot aligns with the company’s strategy to embed its intelligence within various procurement platforms, including Source-to-Pay (S2P) suites. The company emphasizes that Abi operates without accessing or storing customers’ internal data, ensuring data security and compliance.

Beroe provides procurement decision intelligence, using AI tools and data to help organizations improve their procurement.
