According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, the company has tested light yellow, light green, blue, and pink for the upcoming device, alongside traditional silver and dark gray. The laptop is expected to be priced between $699 and $799, utilizing iPhone-derived chips like the A18 Pro to achieve this lower cost. Apple plans to utilize a new manufacturing process for aluminum shells rather than cheaper materials. The device is scheduled for an announcement at an event in March.

To meet the aggressive price target of $699 to $799, Apple is reportedly shifting its component sourcing strategy. The company plans to port over chips originally designed for its iPhone lineup, specifically utilizing the A18 Pro processor.
