Samsung announced the Freestyle+ portable projector ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas, upgrading its predecessor with 430 ISO lumens brightness and AI OptiScreen screen optimization features.
The Freestyle+ delivers twice the brightness of previous Freestyle models at 430 ISO lumens. This increase enhances visibility in varied lighting conditions. Earlier versions of Samsung’s compact projector included automatic screen adjustment capabilities such as auto focus and auto leveling.
The Freestyle+ advances these functions through AI OptiScreen. This technology provides 3-D auto keystone correction, which addresses distortion when projecting onto uneven or non-flat surfaces. It also enables real-time focus adjustments as the projector moves during use. Automatic screen fit accommodates compatible accessories for precise positioning. Wall calibration minimizes visual distractions arising from the projection surface itself.
Additionally, the Freestyle+ integrates support for Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, expanding its intelligent functionalities. The device maintains core design elements from prior models, including 180-degree rotation for flexible projection angles and 360-degree audio for immersive sound distribution.
A new addition is Q-Symphony compatibility, allowing the projector to pair with select Samsung soundbars. This synchronization combines the projector’s audio output with the soundbar’s speakers for improved sound quality.
Samsung has not disclosed full specifications or pricing details for the Freestyle+. The company plans to demonstrate the projector at CES 2026, held from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas, where further information will become available.
Release occurs in the first half of 2026 through phased rollouts across worldwide markets. Previous Freestyle projectors emphasized portability and ease of setup, and the Freestyle+ builds on this foundation with enhanced AI-driven adjustments.
