While it has not been confirmed whether this battery is silicon-carbon, the increase in battery size by 13% while maintaining the same thickness as the Pixel 8a leads to speculation regarding its construction.
A significant upgrade includes the main camera sensor, now a 48-megapixel sensor that, despite being slightly smaller than the Pixel 8a’s, offers a wider aperture.
Google plans to unveil the Pixel 9a on March 19, with pre-orders available the same day and shipments commencing on March 26.
