According to leakster Smart Pikachu, this decision addresses concerns regarding perceived bezel thickness. The curved edges of the previous model created an illusion of slimmer bezels. Xiaomi intends to compensate for the switch to a flat display by reducing the bezel size, aiming to maintain a comparable aesthetic between the two models.
The display of the Xiaomi 16 Pro will incorporate enhanced eye protection technology, specifically designed to function effectively at high brightness levels. The exact nature of these improvements remains unspecified but signals an effort to mitigate potential eye strain associated with prolonged screen use.
