A key feature of the upgraded YOYO assistant is the support for real-time screen sharing during calls.

Honor is reportedly extending new YOYO real-time calling functionalities to its earlier flagship devices, specifically the Magic 5 and Magic 4 series. This upgrade enhances the capabilities of the YOYO virtual assistant, already known for its real-time communication tools.

The update is being implemented through the release of application version 90.10.16.037. According to official statements, Honor intends to make this updated application compatible with all devices operating on MagicOS 8.0 and subsequent versions. The primary focus of this update is to improve the user experience during real-time calls.

A key feature of the upgraded YOYO assistant is the support for real-time screen sharing during calls. This functionality allows users to share their device screen with the other party involved in the call. To initiate screen sharing, users can access the YOYO main dialog and select the phone icon located in the upper right corner, or alternatively, click the “+” sign at the bottom and then the phone icon to enter the YOYO call interface. Subsequently, tapping the camera button will present the option to share the screen, facilitating real-time discussions about the content being displayed.

The update also introduces a “Change” button within the main dialogue box of YOYO. This addition enables users to easily switch between different guides, providing greater flexibility and control over the interaction with the virtual assistant. Additional enhancements include the integration of anthropomorphic voice effects. These effects simulate human-like voices, incorporating elements of emotion and personality to enhance communication with the AI assistant.

Honor is deploying these new features, along with image play and one-word code functionalities, incrementally. The company has indicated that the complete rollout may require approximately one to two weeks to reach all compatible devices. Users of the Magic 5 and Magic 4 series are advised to monitor their devices for the availability of this update.
