Tipsters, including FixedFocus, indicate that Apple is considering an aluminum frame as the substitute for titanium in the 2025 iPhone lineup. The shift is reportedly driven by cost considerations. Titanium, while offering a premium aesthetic, lightweight design, and scratch resistance, is an expensive component. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max were the initial Apple handsets to incorporate titanium, moving away from the stainless steel used in prior iterations.
