Nokia has announced a global partnership with Leonardo, a prominent aerospace and defense technology provider, to deploy mission-critical private wireless networks tailored for public safety, energy, and rail infrastructure sectors.

As part of the collaboration, Leonardo’s next-generation MC_linX platform will be integrated into Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions portfolio. The combined offering aims to simplify deployments and boost real-time responsiveness for organizations that require highly secure, resilient, and low-latency communications—such as emergency services and industrial operators.

The joint solution supports mission-critical voice, video, and data services across LTE and 5G networks. It will provide advanced capabilities like push-to-talk, situational awareness, and accelerated emergency response, all built on standards-compliant, high-availability infrastructure.

“This partnership merges Nokia’s proven private wireless technologies with Leonardo’s trusted mission-critical platforms, enabling a powerful and secure communications ecosystem for essential sectors,” said Prakash Sagadopan, Head of Enterprise Wide Area Networks at Nokia. “Together, we’re addressing the stringent requirements of industries that cannot afford communication failures.”

Leonardo’s Senior Vice President Claudio Rando added, “Being selected by Nokia to integrate MC_linX into their enterprise offering confirms the strength and scalability of our platform. This European-built solution offers a new benchmark in secure communications for critical infrastructure.”

Nokia’s modular core network architecture is optimized for use cases with strict reliability and latency demands. Leonardo’s MC_linX, fully aligned with 3GPP standards, supports deployment over both private and public LTE/5G infrastructure—ensuring flexibility and rapid scalability.
