Xiaomi’s MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2 have officially launched via Xiaomi Youpin, with a crowdfunding campaign starting March 26th at 10 AM. Priced at 999 Yuan (about $140), these glasses aim to compete with the likes of Meta’s Ray-Ban collaboration.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 feature a refined design, notably slimming down the temple arms to just 5mm thick. This makes them 26% thinner at their narrowest point and 30% thinner at their widest, compared to the previous model. Weighing only 27.6g, the glasses improve comfort for long periods of use, reducing pressure points.
Xiaomi also spent 12 months developing a “piano steel ultra-flexible hinge”, and the glasses endured 15,000 bend tests to make the frames more durable. The second-generation quick-release mechanism is equipped on the glasses, featuring a 70% smaller hinge design, allowing users to swap lenses single-handedly. Five styles are available: metal aviator, hybrid browline, classic Boston, hybrid aviator, and deep-space titanium.

Users can take voice notes, without having their phones, by One-touch recording, users can activate this feature just by pressing the temple of the glasses. Whenever recording is active a notification light turns on automaticamente to address privacy concerns. The devices are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, other features include real-time audio broadcasting, and Voice assistant support.
