Google is enhancing Gmail’s search capabilities by introducing an optional AI-powered upgrade that considers users’ most-clicked emails and frequent contacts for improved results. This feature aims to facilitate easier access to essential emails.
This new search function will not only return results based on keywords entered but will also factor in criteria such as recency, the most-clicked emails, and frequent contacts. Google stated, “With this update, the emails you’re looking for are far more likely to be at the top of your search results — saving you valuable time and helping you find important information more easily.”

The “most relevant” search results feature is currently being rolled out to users globally with personal Google accounts. It will be accessible via web browsers as well as Google’s Android and iOS Gmail apps. Google clarified that this feature will not replace the existing chronological keyword search method; users will still have the option to switch between chronological results and the new “most relevant” search results.
