New features in One UI 7

One UI 7 aims to provide a streamlined and cohesive experience. It offers a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets, and a customizable lock screen. Additionally, the Now Bar will provide real-time updates directly on the lock screen.

The update introduces smarter AI features designed to enhance productivity and creativity. With Galaxy AI, users can reduce the need to switch between applications. For instance, AI Select can recommend actions based on context, allowing users to save video content as GIFs using the Edge Panel.

Writing Assist enables users to summarize and format text easily. One UI 7 also includes tools for editing, like Drawing Assist, which helps users combine text prompts, images, or sketches, and Audio Eraser, which isolates sounds and removes background noise from videos.

The update incorporates deeper Google Gemini integration, simplifying device control. Users can activate this by pressing the side button and requesting information verbally. Furthermore, natural language search extends to Settings, allowing users to adjust preferences effortlessly.

One UI 7 will expand to additional devices in the following weeks, encompassing the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
