A lot of people have been asking: Can Google Gemini create images? The short answer is yes! Let’s learn how.

Can Google Gemini create images in seconds?

The feature for generating images within Gemini Apps now offers exciting possibilities for users globally, with a few geographical exceptions. Currently, this functionality is not accessible in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK, and it caters exclusively to prompts in English. The availability of this feature is tailored to align with the supported languages and countries specific to each Gemini app, ensuring a seamless integration where applicable.

Users engaging with this image generation capability must adhere to Google’s Terms of Service and the Generative AI Service Specific Terms, which encompass the Prohibited Use Policy. This includes a strict prohibition against infringing on copyright or privacy rights. Users are advised to exercise prudent judgment when deciding to rely on, publish, or utilize the content produced by Gemini Apps, ensuring responsible use of this technology.

How to generate images with Gemini?

Generating images with Gemini on your device offers an engaging way to bring your creative ideas to visual life, right at your fingertips. Whether you’re looking to visualize a futuristic car winding through an ancient mountain road or a dog masterfully riding a surfboard, Gemini’s platform is designed to cater to your imaginative needs.

To start, simply open your web browser and navigate to gemini.google.com on your device. Once there, you’ll be prompted to enter your creative idea into the system. This is your chance to be as detailed or as broad as you’d like. Remember, the more specific you are with your prompt, the more aligned the generated images will be with your vision.

After submitting your prompt, you might find yourself curious for more visual interpretations. If so, tapping “Generate more” will instruct Gemini to produce additional images based on your original idea. Viewing these images in a larger format is straightforward—tap on any image that catches your eye, and it will expand into a carousel view. This allows you to swipe left or right to explore the range of generated images. When you’re ready to return to the main screen, simply tap “Close”.

For those looking to incorporate images into a narrative or specific content, Gemini accommodates this as well. After navigating to gemini.google.com on your device, enter a prompt that includes a request for both text and images, such as writing a story or a blog post. Should you wish to change any of the images provided in Gemini’s response, tap on the image, select a new one or generate more options, and tap “Update” to finalize your choice.

Downloading your generated images is just as easy. If you’re looking to save a single image, tap on the desired image and then tap “Download full size” at the top of the screen. To download all images at once, look for the “Share & export” option below the generated images and select “Download all images”.

A few tips to enhance your image generation experience: start your prompts with action verbs like “draw”, “generate”, or “create” to clearly indicate your intent. Specify the image style you’re interested in, whether it’s photorealistic, watercolor, or cartoon, and don’t shy away from detailing the scene you envision. These steps ensure that the content Gemini Apps generate not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

We tried the below prompts:

  • Create an image of a lone traveler trekking through a dense forest, their silhouette barely visible amidst the towering trees. Experiment with a vibrant, surreal color palette to convey a dreamlike atmosphere.
