Following on from our recent report on music streaming service Spotify, we were wondering about how much musicians actually get from having their songs hosted on streaming music services. This infographic claims to have the answer. Although reading through, it may become obvious that this infographic comes from the streaming service Arena, it still throws up some interesting stats. The fact that a musician’s song has to be played 36,866 times on certain streaming services before they can afford a 24-pack of Ramen really puts into perspective how little artists are credited in the digital economy.
