LG showcased the LG OLED evo W6 at CES 2026, reviving its Wallpaper TV line first released in 2017 after six years since the previous model. The TV body measures 9 mm thick due to a completely reengineered internal architecture.
A new wall-mount design positions the W6 completely flush against the wall. The model integrates LG’s Zero Connect Box, which transmits audio, video, and control signals wirelessly to eliminate the need for a cable between the TV and the box. The TV requires only a power plug for operation. The Zero Connect Box supports placement up to 10 meters, equivalent to about 33 feet, away from the display and incorporates a full set of input ports including HDMI and USB connections.
The W6 features LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology, which delivers improvements in black-level performance, color reproduction, and brightness levels. Engineers designed the Wallpaper TV to attain the lowest reflectance of any LG television model. It holds the distinction as the first TV in the industry to receive Intertek’s Reflection-Free Premium certification, verifying its minimized glare under various lighting conditions.
Brightness Booster Ultra enhances luminance output on the W6, with the same technology appearing on the LG G6 series. LG states that the G6 achieves a 20 percent brightness increase compared to the G5, with measurements exceeding 2,400 nits. LG has not disclosed the peak brightness figure for the W6 model.
LG Gallery+ service becomes available on the W6 and across the rest of LG’s television lineup. This service supplies over 4,500 high-quality images for screen display during periods of inactivity, such as when the TV operates in standby mode rather than for movies, television programs, or gaming sessions.
The W6 supports a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz, certification for AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce screen tearing, and compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync for variable refresh rate gaming. LG offers the TV in 77-inch and 83-inch screen sizes.
