Google has detailed an upcoming feature allowing users to change their Gmail addresses without data loss, as described in recently updated Hindi-language support documentation and reported by 9to5Google.

The new system enables users to select an alternative Gmail address. Google confirmed that the old Gmail address will function as an alias, permitting sign-ins with either address. All messages and data associated with the original address will be retained.

This functionality will roll out gradually and will not be immediately available to all users. Google will limit changes to once every 12 months, with a maximum of three changes per account.
