Samsung recently released a YouTube video confirming the upcoming Exynos 2600 chipset, expected in the Galaxy S26 series, stirring speculation about regional chip variations.
The video, titled “The next Exynos,” features Stranger Things-style music and explicitly names the Exynos 2600. It highlights that the chipset is “refined at the core” and “optimized at every level.” The video description states the new chip is “coming soon.” This follows Samsung’s pattern of announcing flagship Exynos chipsets for imminent use.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus models are anticipated to feature either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, depending on the sales region. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is projected to use the Snapdragon processor worldwide.
Historically, Exynos chipsets have not matched Snapdragon SoCs in raw power but have typically offered superior efficiency. The Exynos 2600 is expected to incorporate the latest Arm CPU technology, an AMD GPU, and utilize a 2nm manufacturing process.
