YouTube Music has begun deploying its personalized 2025 Recap, which inventories top tracks and offers AI-driven listening habit analysis. This release precedes Spotify’s Wrapped, expected in coming weeks.
While the 2025 Recap is not yet universally available, initial access has been documented by 9to5Google. YouTube Music typically rolls out this feature incrementally. Last year, user reports emerged in mid-November, with broader access commencing approximately one week later. The current distribution timeline appears slightly delayed compared to the previous year.
The 2025 Recap incorporates an artificial intelligence component, allowing users to submit questions to Gemini concerning their listening trends. These inquiries can range from direct reports to unusual summaries, such as a weather-themed example.
Upon availability, users can access their 2025 Recap through their YouTube Music profile by tapping their user icon. The service presents top tracks and generates a savable playlist. It also provides musical statistics, including a day-by-day analysis of artist engagement and a “passport mode” indicating the origin points of frequently played artists.
Users are advised to check their YouTube Music profile for immediate access to their personalized 2025 Recap; widespread availability is anticipated within days.
