Ford has partnered with Amazon to sell certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon Autos, aiming to boost its used car sales. The program, announced on Monday, allows customers to browse, finance, and purchase Ford “Blue Advantage” certified vehicles directly on Amazon’s platform.

The initiative is launching initially in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to expand to additional cities. Through the Amazon Autos storefront, users can search for vehicles from participating local dealers within a 75-mile radius, filter by criteria such as model and trim, and view transparent pricing.

While the browsing and initial paperwork—including financing and e-signing—are handled online via Amazon, the final step of picking up the vehicle still takes place at the dealership.

A key feature of the program is the “Ford Blue Advantage” certification, which includes a multi-point inspection and a money-back guarantee. Customers who purchase a vehicle through Amazon Autos can return it within 14 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first.

This move follows Amazon’s entry into online car sales last year with Hyundai, which focused on new vehicles. Ford’s partnership, however, specifically targets the certified pre-owned market. The automaker stated that approximately 160 to 180 dealers have already expressed interest in joining the program.
