WhatsApp is testing a new storage management tool within its Android beta application, according to WABetaInfo. The feature, found in version 2.25.31.13, adds a shortcut directly into the chat window to help users manage device storage without leaving their conversations.
This integrated shortcut provides a method to monitor and free up storage space. The tool enables the filtering of media files and stickers contained within a specific chat, offering a more direct way to handle space optimization and improve the application’s usability on Android devices. This function is designed to address device storage challenges from the chat interface.

This development is being tested alongside other recent beta features, including a “Mention All” function for group chats. This function allows a user to notify every member in a group simultaneously by using a single @all tag, a design intended to simplify communication within large groups.
