Apple announced its second-generation Vision Pro and will sell PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers separately for $250. The newly available support for the controllers is enabled by the visionOS 26 update, with sales occurring through the Apple Store.
Previously, the only way to obtain new PS VR2 Sense controllers was by purchasing them as part of Sony’s $400 headset bundle. The controllers will be available for individual purchase beginning November 11.
According to Apple, Sony’s controllers are intended to create more immersive gameplay on the Vision Pro. The devices provide key features including six degrees of freedom motion tracking for movement and rotation, finger touch detection, and integrated rumble support.
The controller availability was announced alongside the second-generation Vision Pro, which is now powered by the new M5 chip. The headset’s design includes a Dual Knit Band, incorporating a top strap for improved stability and comfort during use.
