Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 icon leak shows ear tip design

Unlike the Buds 3, the leaked image depicts silicone ear tips, a feature previously limited to the Pro model.

An icon discovered within a leaked build of Samsung’s One UI 8.5 operating system update indicates a potential redesign for the company’s next Galaxy Buds. Android Authority located the file, which contains an illustration of a wireless earbud model that has not yet been announced by Samsung.

The specific asset, named “list_ic_earbuds_buds4,” contains an illustrated silhouette of an earbud that maintains the AirPods-like stem from the Galaxy Buds 3 line. The new illustration, however, shows that the main body of the earbud is angled differently from prior models. This discovery follows the summer 2024 release of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, providing a timeline for a potential product line refresh.

A significant detail in the icon is the inclusion of a silicone ear tip. This feature was absent on the base model Galaxy Buds 3 but was a component of the more advanced Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Its presence in the new iconography suggests Samsung may incorporate the feature into the next standard model, creating more design consistency between its base and Pro audio products.

Beyond the visual information derived from the icon file, the leak provided no additional details. An official announcement date or a specific launch window for the next generation of Galaxy Buds remains unknown.
