OpenAI has announced the launch of the OpenAI Grove, a new program designed for technical professionals who are in the initial phases of developing a company. The program aims to provide resources and support to individuals who have not yet solidified a concrete business idea but are interested in building within the artificial intelligence sector. OpenAI seeks to cultivate a collaborative environment for innovation.

The OpenAI Grove distinguishes itself from traditional startup accelerators by offering a talent network, opportunities for collaboration with OpenAI researchers, and resources aimed at accelerating the development process. Participants will engage in exploring early-stage concepts and receive guidance from both the OpenAI team and fellow members within the Grove community. OpenAI emphasizes that the Grove program is intended to serve as the foundation for a lasting professional network among its participants.

The program commences with five weeks of curated content and activities held at OpenAI’s headquarters in San Francisco. These sessions will include in-person workshops, weekly office hours, and mentorship opportunities with OpenAI’s technical leaders. Participants will gain practical experience with new OpenAI tools and models before their public release. After the program concludes, participants can explore various avenues, including raising capital or pursuing internal or external ventures within OpenAI.

Interested candidates must submit their applications by September 24, 2025, to be considered for the program.
