Xbox has initiated a broad rollout of its cross-device play history feature, designed to unify the user experience across multiple platforms. The update ensures a consistent “recently played” game list irrespective of the device used, be it an Xbox console, a PC, or a handheld gaming device like the ROG Ally. This synchronization allows players to seamlessly resume their gaming sessions across different devices.

The cross-device play history feature, which was initially tested with Xbox Insiders in the preceding month, now incorporates cloud-playable games within the “recently played” list. According to an official Xbox blog post, this integration extends to “every cloud-enabled title, from original Xbox classics to Xbox Series X|S exclusives,” consolidating all accessible games into a single location, irrespective of ownership or access method via Xbox Game Pass.

Players can access their recently played games through various interfaces, depending on the device. On Xbox consoles, the “Play history” tile, located on the home page, displays the list of recently accessed games. Similarly, within the Xbox PC app, recently played titles are located in the “Play history” tab, which can be found under the “Most Recent” section, and also within the user’s game library.
