Huawei has officially announced the launch date for its inaugural Mate TV, confirming it will be unveiled at the new product release conference on September 4. This announcement follows the initial reveal of the Mate TV during a smart screen conference held several weeks prior, heightening anticipation for the device’s official debut.

The company has been generating excitement through teaser images, culminating in the confirmation of the launch date. Huawei’s upcoming event on September 4, 2025, is poised to showcase a range of new products, from compact tablets to an expansive smart screen device. The Mate TV will join the ranks of other anticipated releases, solidifying Huawei’s presence in the consumer electronics market.

Prior to the official launch announcement, Huawei initiated registrations for the Mate TV Pioneer Program, offering select users the opportunity to experience the device before its widespread availability. This initiative allows the company to gather user feedback and generate further buzz around its new smart TV offering. Huawei has now confirmed that the Mate TV will debut alongside the Mate XTs tri-fold, MatePad Mini, and FreeBuds 7i, diversifying the product showcase.

In a statement released by Huawei, the company highlighted the significance of the launch: “Big Mate, big difference, first #HuaweiSmartScreenMateTV# Peaks set sail. At 14:30 on September 4th, Huawei’s largest Mate in history, so stay tuned!” This statement emphasizes the size and unique characteristics of the Mate TV within Huawei’s product ecosystem. The launch event is scheduled for 14:30 on September 4.

This marks the first instance of Huawei introducing a “Mate” series within its smart TV product category. The “Mate” designation has been prominently featured in Huawei’s smartphones, foldable phones, tablets, and PCs, signifying a push to extend brand recognition into the home entertainment segment. The Pioneer Program remains open for registration, providing potential consumers with early access to the device and an opportunity to evaluate its features before making a purchase decision.
