Samsung has introduced its Micro RGB display technology, featuring sub-100-micrometer LEDs for enhanced color accuracy, with the initial product being a 115-inch display launching first in Korea.

The Micro RGB technology employs a proprietary arrangement where individually controlled red, green, and blue micro RGB LEDs are precisely patterned behind the panel. This design facilitates granular control over each LED, contributing to the display’s visual performance. An integrated AI engine continuously analyzes each frame in real-time, optimizing the color output. The Micro RGB Color Booster Pro feature identifies scenes with subdued color tones and enhances them across all content, aiming for a more vivid viewing experience.

The display incorporates a Bixby interface, powered by generative AI, and its security framework is managed by Knox. Due to Micro RGB Precision Color, the display achieves 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space. Additionally, Glare Free technology is integrated to reduce reflections, even in well-lit environments. Samsung has committed to providing seven years of updates for the Tizen OS. Following its debut in Korea, the Micro RGB display will become available in the United States, with subsequent plans for a global release offering various display sizes.
