Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has achieved the highest pre-order numbers of any Galaxy Fold device in the United States. This milestone reflects consumer interest in the evolving foldable technology market and Samsung’s continued innovation in this category.

The company reported a substantial increase in pre-order volume for its latest foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, when considered together, experienced a more than 25% increase in pre-orders in the US market when compared to the pre-order figures for their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

US carriers have reported even more significant gains, with a reported 60% surge in pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. These figures suggest that carrier promotions, trade-in offers, and flexible payment plans have played a role in driving consumer adoption of the new foldable devices.

Since the general launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 on July 25th, demand has continued to be strong, exceeding the previous generation’s performance by over 25%. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 specifically is outperforming the Z Fold 6 by approximately 50% in terms of sales since its availability.

According to Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, “Now on our 7th generation, we’ve addressed consumer feedback year after year and have arrived at the kind of experience you can’t get on any other device. When people go hands-on with a Z series device, they’re hooked — and now it’s all coming together with record-breaking numbers.”

Samsung also provided data regarding customer color preferences for the new devices in the US market. The black version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has proven to be the most popular color choice among consumers. The new Blue Shadow variant has also seen strong demand, accounting for nearly half of all pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

For the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the Coralred color option has surpassed internal expectations, capturing approximately 25% of all pre-orders. This suggests that the new color options have resonated well with consumers, contributing to the overall success of the device launches.
