Apple CEO Tim Cook affirmed that the company is actively developing a more personalized version of Siri, driven by Apple Intelligence. During an earnings call, Cook restated the expected release timeframe for these advanced features, targeting the following year.
Cook stated, “We’re making good progress on a more personalized Siri, and as we’ve said before, we expect to release these features next year.” His comments came as Apple announced its third-quarter fiscal year 2025 earnings, revealing a record $94 billion in revenue, surpassing analysts’ forecasts.
The announcement of the personalized Siri capabilities initially occurred at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2024. However, in March, Apple communicated a delay in the rollout of these enhanced features. The updated Siri is designed to offer improved comprehension of a user’s individual context, awareness of on-screen content, and extended control within applications.
Illustrating the planned functionalities, Apple demonstrated a scenario where an iPhone user could ask Siri about their mother’s flight details and lunch reservation arrangements, accessing information from the Mail and Messages applications. Concurrently, Apple is currently contending with several class-action lawsuits related to the delay in delivering these promised features.
