Reports detailing the forthcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra indicate a design modification focusing on reduced thickness and weight, alongside display, camera, and charging enhancements. The information, disseminated by UniverseIce, a source recognized for precise Samsung device insights, includes a render illustrating the device’s potential appearance.

This is what we currently know about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra:

The body will become even thinner at 7.x mm, with slightly increased width and height, while weighing a few grams less

The S26 Ultra is anticipated to measure under 8mm in thickness, a reduction from the S25 Ultra’s 8.2mm. Its dimensions are projected to be 162.8 x 77.6mm, making it marginally wider and taller than its predecessor. The device’s weight is also expected to decrease from the S25 Ultra’s 218 grams.

A notable design alteration involves the camera island, which is depicted housing three of the four camera modules. This represents a departure from the Galaxy S Ultra series’ recent iterations, which have featured individual camera cutouts. Camera specifications are also detailed, with an expected updated 200MP main sensor featuring a larger aperture. Additionally, a new 3x telephoto lens and a wider aperture for the 5x periscope module are anticipated.

The display is projected to be a new 6.9-inch AMOLED panel incorporating a Color-on-Emitter (CoE) depolarizer layer. This technology is designed to enhance color accuracy and brightness while simultaneously reducing power consumption, as CoE OLED panels integrate the color filter directly into the light-emitting layer.

The S26 Ultra is also expected to feature an updated third-generation anti-reflective glass treatment. Charging capabilities are slated for an upgrade to 60W wired charging, an increase from the 45W provided by the S24 Ultra and previous models. The battery capacity is rumored to remain at 5,000mAh.
