Apple’s MacBook Pro may feature a redesigned look in 2026, incorporating updates to its processor, screen, and chassis, according to a report by 9to5Mac. Leaks suggest advancements to the laptop’s processor, display, and overall form factor.

The MacBook Pro’s new chip will be a significant upgrade from the current M4. While MacBooks in 2025 are expected to feature the M5 chip, Apple is reportedly developing the M6 and M7 chips simultaneously. This generation of Apple Silicon will employ 2nm technology from the Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

The 2026 model is rumored to adopt the tandem OLED display currently used in the 2024 iPad Pro. This two-stack OLED display should increase brightness and longevity. This would be a notable change from the current IPS LCD with mini-LED backlighting.

The 2026 MacBook Pro is also expected to be slimmer. Specifics regarding the extent of the size reduction are not yet available, though the OLED display may contribute to decreased dimensions. Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comments on the redesign.
