Don’t buy an Airpods 2 now!

The current AirPods Pro 2 have been on shelves for nearly three years. AirPods Pro 3 could be Apple’s first major audio hardware refresh in years.

If you’re in the market for a new pair of premium wireless earbuds, Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 have likely been at the top of your list. However, with the current model approaching its third anniversary, you might be better off holding onto your money for a little while longer.

Apple’s potential development of AirPods Pro 3 has been indicated in the developer’s beta of iOS 26, according to Steve Moser of MacRumors. The code references AirPods Pro 3, alongside mentions of AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2.

The inclusion of AirPods Pro 3 in the iOS 26 developer’s beta suggests a potential release is forthcoming. The AirPods Pro 2 have been available for almost three years.
