Microsoft began beta testing Copilot for Gaming on Wednesday, offering the experience through the Xbox app on iOS and Android. Testers can use the assistant to answer game-related questions and access information based on their account, play history, and achievements.

The early version allows users to ask questions, such as “What’s my gamer score and can you give me some tips to raise it?” or “I love horror movies. Any suggestions for what game I should play?”. Users can also inquire about their play history, such as “What was the last achievement I got in Starfield?” or “When does my Game Pass subscription renew?”.

Taylor O’Malley, principal program manager at Xbox, stated in a blog post: “In this early version of the feature for mobile, you’ll be able to access Copilot for Gaming on a second screen, without distracting you from your core gameplay experience.”
