The most annoying part of using public Wi-Fi Apple aims to solve it

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19 at WWDC 2025 in June, featuring a new system that synchronizes public Wi-Fi network credentials across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. This development aims to simplify connecting to public Wi-Fi networks by allowing users to enter credentials on one device and access the network on all their Apple devices.

The feature, reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, is described as a “much requested” time-saving feature. It is expected to be particularly useful when connecting to new Wi-Fi networks at locations such as hotels, offices, or gyms, where users typically need to fill out a web form on each device to access the internet.

By syncing Wi-Fi details across devices, iOS 19 could eliminate the need to manually enter credentials on multiple devices. This enhancement is part of a broader set of updates expected for Apple’s operating systems, including a new design language with “glassy” effects similar to the Apple Vision Pro’s UI and deeper integration of Apple Intelligence into various apps and features.

WWDC 2025 is scheduled to begin on June 9, marking the start of a five-day event where Apple is likely to preview its upcoming operating system updates for iPhone, Mac, and other devices. The iPad is also expected to receive a more powerful OS, potentially enhancing its productivity capabilities to match those of Mac computers.

Other anticipated announcements at WWDC 2025 include further integration of Apple Intelligence and potential enhancements to the overall user experience across Apple’s ecosystem of devices.
