Syntax Systems has launched Syntax AI CodeGenie, an agentic AI-powered solution designed to streamline custom code documentation and management for SAP solutions. The new tool, part of the Syntax GenAI portfolio, automates documentation and provides real-time insights into custom code functionality and business value.

Custom code documentation in SAP solutions is often outdated, missing, or incomplete, disrupting system upgrades and increasing compliance risks. Syntax AI CodeGenie addresses these challenges by using natural language queries to interact with an AI chatbot, enabling teams to understand code functionality, evaluate the impact of changes, and resolve technical challenges.

Marcelo Tamassia, chief technology officer at Syntax, said, “Custom code has long been a barrier for organizations modernizing SAP environments, leading to delays, increased risks, and reliance on limited expertise. Syntax AI CodeGenie revolutionizes this process by harnessing AI to automate documentation and deliver the insights needed to close knowledge gaps and enable business transformation.”

  • AI chatbot functionality: Provides instant insights into custom developments, empowering faster, more informed decisions.
  • Rapid and easy adoption: Runs on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) with a lightweight integration and is fully compatible with SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, and on-premises SAP ECC installations.
