Etex and Cognizant extend partnership to drive AI in construction

The expanded agreement will focus on automating key functions across Etex’s IT infrastructure, including workplace collaboration, network security, hosting, service delivery, and data management

Etex, a global manufacturer of sustainable building materials, has extended its collaboration with Cognizant to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and automation into its operations. The five-year partnership aims to optimize IT services, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency through generative AI (GenAI) and chatbot solutions.

The focus of the agreement

The expanded agreement will focus on automating key functions across Etex’s IT infrastructure, including workplace collaboration, network security, hosting, service delivery, and data management. By embedding AI-driven tools, the company aims to improve operational stability and enhance the user experience.

Rossum introduces AI agents to automate enterprise paperwork


In an increasingly complex market, AI and automation have become critical tools for managing operational costs. Cognizant’s AI-powered solutions will help Etex streamline processes and improve agility in decision-making.

Etex operates across more than 160 sites in 45 countries, specializing in lightweight construction solutions. The company’s portfolio includes plasterboards, fibre cement panels, insulation materials, and high-performance fire protection solutions. The extended partnership with Cognizant reflects Etex’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and drive innovation in the construction industry.
