TikTok will allow advertisers to pull in content from Getty Images using its AI-powered ad creation tool, Symphony Creative Studio. This integration, announced on November 14, 2024, enables brands to create engaging ads featuring both licensed imagery and AI-generated elements, including lifelike avatars.

TikTok users can now leverage Getty Image libraries

With Symphony Creative Studio now available for all advertisers, TikTok users can leverage Getty’s vast library of premium images and videos to craft ads that resonate with audiences. This feature enables the generation of videos based on product descriptions and incorporates AI avatars that can communicate in various languages, enhancing the customization and effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

Peter Orlowsky, Getty Images’ Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Partnerships, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This collaboration offers seamless integration into TikTok’s Symphony Creative Studio, giving brands and businesses direct access to our vast library of millions of premium images and videos…” He highlighted how this move meets the escalating demand for high-quality content that effectively engages audiences through authentic storytelling.

Canada forces TikTok out of the country

The integration is part of TikTok’s broader strategy to enhance its creative tools, aiming to simplify the creative production process. By bridging the gap between ideation and execution, TikTok seeks to facilitate a more efficient advertising experience for marketers, ultimately leading to better performance and results. Andy Yang, Head of Monetization Creative Product at TikTok, noted the intent behind this partnership: “At TikTok, we aim to empower advertisers and help them connect with their communities with the power of generative AI.”

As the demand for authentic and captivating storytelling in advertising grows, this collaboration provides advertisers with the necessary resources to develop compelling content. With AI-generated visuals and access to Getty’s licensed materials, TikTok advertisers can experiment with creativity like never before. They can create multiple ad versions or even remix existing content, all while ensuring they’re using commercially safe images and videos.

The integration reflects a significant step for Getty Images, which has increasingly made its premium creative content available across various platforms within the AI industry. Since launching its own AI image generator last year, the company has partnered with other tech giants, enhancing access to its licensed content safe for commercial use. This expansion within the AI landscape allows marketers to scale their efforts with the assurance of using high-quality imagery.

For brands eager to enhance their advertising game on TikTok, the door is now open to a world of creative possibilities, all thanks to the groundbreaking integration with Getty Images. With easy access to rich visual content and the capability for personalized AI elements, marketers can tell their stories in a more engaging and appealing way.
