We need an Apple Vision Air ASAP

Here is why

It’s time to talk about the Apple Vision Air. Yes, Apple’s new gadget, the Vision Pro, has amazed everyone. It’s all about this thing called augmented reality (AR), or what Apple wants to call it, spatial computing, where digital stuff blends with real life. Sounds awesome, right? Well, it is, but there’s a catch: the price. At $3,500, it’s way too expensive for most of us. That’s why we’re excited about the rumors swirling around its more affordable sibling, the Apple Vision Air.

What we want from the Apple Vision Air

Meet the Apple Vision Air, a rumored sibling to the Vision Pro that promises to bridge the gap in AR accessibility. While details remain limited, what we do know about the Apple Vision Air and what we want from it is worth discussing.

  • It will be cheaper: The best part? It’s going to be way cheaper than the Vision Pro. We’re talking somewhere between $1,500 and $2,500. Finally, AR might be something we can actually afford!
  • It still does cool stuff: Even though it’s probably not as fancy as the Vision Pro, the Vision Air still does some pretty neat things. You can still watch your favourite series and do work stuff, just like with the Pro. You can still control it with your eyes, hands, and voice.

  • Coming one day, we hope: We don’t know exactly when the Vision Air will hit the shelves, but we’re hoping it’s soon. With more people able to afford it, AR could become a part of our everyday lives sooner than we think.

Considering we know almost nothing about the Apple Vision Air, it sounds like at least we could make a wishlist to Apple about it:

  • Affordable price: We hope the Vision Air is priced so that more people can afford it, making AR accessible to everyone.
  • Comfortable design: The Vision Air should be lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods compared to the Vision Pro.
  • Durable build: We want it to be sturdy and able to handle everyday use without breaking.

  • Versatile: It should work well for different things like gaming, work, and communication, giving us lots of options for how to use it.
  • Long battery life: We need it to have a battery that lasts a long time so we can use it all day without worrying about running out of power. We need more than 2–3 hours in this futuristic world!
  • Exciting features: We’re excited to see what cool new things the Vision Air can do, like new ways to interact with AR content and fun applications to try out—at least Netflix, YouTube, and more.

Vision Air promises to make it more fun without emptying your wallet, whether you’re into the experience or getting stuff done.

Meta Quest 3 vs Apple Vision Pro: Which one to choose?

Why is the Apple Vision Pro so expensive?

The Apple Vision Pro has a high price tag because it incorporates cutting-edge technology and premium materials. Here’s why it’s expensive:

The device features top-of-the-line components such as powerful processors and high-resolution displays, contributing significantly to its production costs.

Apple invests heavily in research and development to pioneer innovative technologies like augmented reality (AR) capabilities and advanced eye-tracking systems, which require substantial investments.

Manufacturing the Vision Pro involves intricate processes and tight quality control standards, adding to the production costs due to its complexity.

Apple’s brand reputation for quality, design, and user experience also contributes to the high price, as consumers are often willing to pay a premium for Apple products.

The market for AR devices like the Vision Pro is still relatively small compared to other consumer electronics, leading to higher per-unit costs due to the lack of economies of scale.

In summary, the Vision Pro’s price reflects the investment required to develop and manufacture a cutting-edge AR device with premium features and uncompromising quality.
