“In today’s hyperconnected era, it’s no longer just about delivering quality visual experiences when it comes to home entertainment. Displays should enhance our lives both on and off the screen. Samsung’s AI screens, powered by on-device AI technology, are designed to be the centerpiece of users’ homes, connecting all compatible devices to offer users a more flexible and diverse lifestyle,” said SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics., about the Samsung AI TV lineup.

Samsung AI TV specs

The stars of the show and the members of the Samsung AI TV lineup are the Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs, featuring the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, dubbed the “most innovative Samsung TV processor yet.” The NQ8 AI Gen3 stands out with eight times the neural networks of its predecessor, ensuring sharp details and vibrant pictures for an immersive viewing experience.

The company’s official release read: “The new Samsung Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs deliver lifelike picture quality, premium audio, and a rich array of apps and services. At its core, the 2024 Neo QLED 8K is designed with the most innovative Samsung TV processor yet: the NQ8 AI Gen3. It has a neural processing unit (NPU) that is twice as fast as that of its predecessor, with eight times the neural networks (from 64 to 512) so that everything on screen is displayed in crisp detail.”

AI upscaling

The 8K QLED 2024 Samsung TV lineup introduces the 8K AI Upscaling Pro, powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3. This feature enhances picture quality through high-quality 8K upscaling, making low-resolution content crisper and more detailed.

AI motion and depth enhancement

The 8K Samsung TV doesn’t just focus on resolution; it aims to enhance the overall viewing experience. The AI Motion Enhancer Pro automatically detects the type of sport being watched and uses deep learning to reduce motion blur, providing clearer images of fast-moving objects. Real Depth Enhancer Pro, another feature driven by the NPU, uses AI to emphasize the parts of the scene that naturally draw your eyes, creating lifelike images with enhanced details.

Beyond the AI features, the 2024 Samsung TV lineup boasts Infinity Air Design, ensuring that the TV’s build complements its stunning picture quality. With a slim depth of only 12.9 mm, the screen delivers an immersive viewing experience. Samsung also introduces audio enhancements, including the 2024 Q-Symphony tech, synchronizing soundbars for a more immersive audiovisual experience.

As CES 2024 unfolds, Samsung’s new TV lineup stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation, promising consumers a viewing experience like never before. Stay tuned for more updates as CES 2024 kicks off, and Samsung continues to impress with its cutting-edge technology!
