  • Rockstar’s upcoming title might be one of the most anticipated video games ever, and fresh alleged GTA 6 leaks might have given gamers their best look yet at the game.
  • The data trove, via a GTAForums post by the claimed hacker, has about 90 game footage videos, with debugging code and interfaces running.
  • The hacker who goes by ‘teapotuberhacker’ on the GTAForums also claims to be the person responsible for the recent Uber attack and claims to have obtained the footage by obtaining access to a Rockstar employee’s Slack account.

Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto game, GTA 6, might be one of the most anticipated video games ever, and a fresh claimed leak could give us our best look yet at GTA 6. The data trove via a GTAForums post by the claimed hacker has about 90 game footage videos, with debugging code and interfaces running and supporting the truth of the accusations.

The GTA 6 leaks are said to be carried out by the same hacker responsible for the Uber hack

Interestingly, the hacker who goes by ‘teapotuberhacker’ on the GTAForums also claims to be responsible for the recent Uber attack and claims to have obtained the footage by obtaining access to a Rockstar employee’s Slack account – the same method used by Uber in their big breach.

The hacker responsible for the GTA 6 leaks also claims to be the mastermind behind the Uber hack

The leaks themselves look either genuine or fake, made with such attention to detail and authenticity that they have won over an originally skeptical GTAForums member audience.

Several footages from the leak show both male and female protagonist characters, which fits with recent speculations about what to expect in the next game. They also demonstrate gameplay in a Miami-like fictitious metropolis, which confirms previous speculations about what GTA 6 would add to the brand.

GTA 6 leaks seem to confirm the earlier reports of a female protagonist, a first for the series

It’s worth mentioning that these clips from the latest GTA 6 leaks most likely depict an earlier build, maybe from about 2017. The game has supposedly been in production since 2014 (GTA 5 first premiered in 2013), thus, development snapshots from various builds throughout the years would be realistic.

This leak comes just after Rockstar started giving signs of stopping active development on GTA 5

Rockstar rolled out the credits for GTA 5 and GTA 5 Online on its website earlier this month, titling the page ‘Thank You,’ which many took as a sign that it was winding down active development on the series’ long-running and much-expanded fifth installment to focus more directly on the upcoming sequel.

A message from Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games shared a message with gamers on their official Twitter page about the GTA 6 leaks.

The message, while reassuring the fans, is admitting that they suffered an attack and that the leaked images and videos of the game were real.
