India’s second-largest IT services provider, Infosys, have been busy recently. As well as extending their decade-long partnership with Microsoft and offering next-generation infrastructure to enterprises in collaboration with Hitachi, they’ve announced an entirely new partnership. They’ve partnered with Huawei to Huawei’s cloud computing infrastructure and Infosys’ IT expertise to their joint customer base.
“Infosys is focused on helping customers succeed with software and services to both grow their business in new ways and to achieve operational efficiencies,” states Infosys’ CEO & Director Dr. Vishal Sikka. “We are really excited to partner with Huawei to bring the power of Huawei’s cloud infrastructure and communication technologies to our joint customers, so that they can efficiently achieve this dual objective.”
The companies will be developing cloud-based IT solutions, aimed at enterprise clients looking to leverage cloud infrastructure to modernise operations. They will also be fusing Huawei’s customer contact technologies with communciation services from Infosys to offer customers “a best-in-class communication experience like call center”. Further to this, the two companies are also exploring the option of establishing a joint lab in China, to ameliorate the delivery of their joint offerings.
Infosys are hoping this recent spate of partnerships will help propel them to the forefront of India’s $100 billion IT industry- watch this space.
