This new infographic from open, secure RFID Asset Management providers RF Code looks into the hidden costs of manual data collection. It shows that the costs involved in actually collecting the data are often just the tip of the iceberg, and uncovers myriad factors that businesses might not consider during their audit process. Factors such as relocating and replacing misplaced data assets and asset inventory reconciliation can quickly add up to over $700,000 a year in a large network of data facilities. Such costs make a compelling case for automating your data collection process.

If savings aren’t your primary focus, you may also be interested in RF Code’s latest blog around the subject of smart cities and the Internet of Things, and where those industries are heading.
