The big data revolution is not localized, and now Bangalore is being swept up in the global trend.  According to experts, upwards of 35,000 jobs will be created in the analytics industry, with a good third of those in Bangalore.

“Bangalore is the biggest recruiter in India for analytics, followed by Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai,” says Gaurav Vohra, CEO, Jigsaw Academy, an organisation that trains people in analytics.  Coupled with further development of the sector in the USA, growth in India is expected to continue growing.  Following a report by Knowledgefaber, hiring by numerous firms including Mu-Sigma, Fractal, LatentView, Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, and EXL, as well as attractive wages will see more and more people drawn toward this field.

The variety of different options available is also one of the incentives professionals in the field can enjoy.  The most financially lucrative of them, KPOs (knowledge process outsourcing) offer not only an average salary of Rs5.6 lakh at entry levels according to a report by Jigsaw Academy, but also a broad pallet of clients from different industries with widely varied projects.  IT companies and other smaller ventures are also hiring and growing in Bangalore.  Soon, because of this the scene in Bangalore will be changing and they will be some of the highest paid workers around the company.  A development to watch.
