MammothDB is a specialized analytics database (not for transactional uses) – much like Teradata or Vertica – but offered at a significantly lower cost. On the front-end, MammothDB provides a native MySQL port so that any visualisation tool (from Excel to Tableau) can be connected to MammothDB.
MammothDB ‘s cost offering is transparent – offering both “on-premises” and “cloud” solutions. OnPrem MommothDB offers 1,500 EUR per server per year (including maintenance/support), while Cloud solution offers at 500 EUR per server per month. Mammoth DB has significant customers both large and small, and the company is very keen to help develop inexpensive yet enterprise scale (with sweet-spot between 50GB to 5TB of data) data warehousing and business analytics.
