Robert Metzger – Stratosphere Project

Robert Metzger is studying towards a master’s degree in computer science at the TU Berlin.  He is a member of the open-source developing team at Stratosphere, a Big Data Analytics platform based on Hadoop and armed with Java and Scala programming abstractions. His interests lie in database implementation, cluster computing and parallel programming and he has extensive knowledge in programming languages aimed at managing unstructured data such as Hadoop and NoSQL. Prior to his studies at the TU Berlin he was studying towards a degree in computer science in conjunction with IBM.
