CloudBerry Lab, the California, US based vendor of cloud backup and cloud storage management solutions has made Storage Competency Partner with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN), it announced earlier last week.

Alexey Serkov, the CTO at CloudBerry Lab said while speaking of the enormity of the development: “Not simply anyone can become a Storage Competency Partner and membership in this elite group validates our deep body of knowledge and achievements in enabling SMBs to take advantage of the cloud for data protection.”

This means that CloudBerry Lab has demonstrated technical proficiency and proven success in specialized solutions areas thus enabling evaluation and usage of technologies by customers, to effectively store data in the AWS Cloud, explains the startup’s news release.

Founded in 2008 by a group industry weathered IT professionals, CloudBerry Lab provides cloud-based backup and file management services to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) and has been an AWS Advanced Partner for several years.

SMBs, like all forms of enterprises require data backup against any mishap, but owing to their scale, off site storage is logistically not feasible. With the advent of online backup and cloud storage, SMBs can avail privacy, security and storage capacity with ease and cost-effectively.
